AONIC Light - "A" High-Light
The AONIC Light, the lighter, revamped version of the AONIC, is cut out for aerial adventures. It will satisfy ambitious beginners, hike & fly enthusiasts and pressure-free distance flyers alike. The ease of use and performance of the AONIC enabled Toni Brügger to achieve an FAI triangle of 247km.

The multi-purpose sail. Light and fun, the AONIC Light really is an all-terrain glider! At the start of training, it will bring that touch of agility that will please the most enthusiastic. More experienced pilots will find it surprisingly glide and performance for an EN-A, as well as handling reminiscent of the behaviour of higher class gliders.
Record EN-A. The 'EN-A' category is often associated with 'sail training'. The AONIC Light is much more than that. Swiss pilot Toni Brügger set a record during a 214km FAI triangle flight in March 2022 in an AONIC. A world record in EN-A! On the following 10 May, he followed this up with a flight of 247km and beat his own record! "The AONIC is fantastic: very intuitive, super stable and an effective turn that makes it easy to centre the thermals, even in the more intense conditions of spring". The kilometres fly by serenely, and the natural glide of the AONIC Light will also delight more experienced pilots.
Lightweight. With 49 cells and 5.17 aspect ratio, the AONIC Light is easy and fun to fly. With a methodically distributed weight distribution and lightweight materials chosen for their durability, it's the most versatile and durable canopy on the market. Its low weight of just 3.4kg (in size XXS) makes it easy to walk in the mountains, and offers big advantages on tricky take-offs, as is often the case in the mountains. Inflation is smooth and there's no tendency to overtake the pilot. The same applies in flight, where the lightness of the profile limits surges. The qualities of the AONIC Light and its small size make it the ideal travel partner.
Flying is fun and easy. The AONIC Light's sober line construction not only improves aerodynamics, but also makes it easier to untangle. The different lines are coloured for easy visual inspection, and the 12mm Kevlar risers avoid traps and twists. In flight, the sensations of safety and solidity blend subtly with those of glide and responsiveness to control. Agility, performance, efficient damping: what we call an 'A+'. The AONIC Light is also equipped with a ball-bearing speed system to reduce friction forces.
Details that make preparation easier. The risers have multiple markings: left and right are coloured in green and red for better overall vision, to avoid mistakes when hooking up the harness. The ear risers and B risers are identified. As for the lines, they follow the colour codes recommended by the PMA (Paraglider Manufacturers Association).
A safe choice. The AONIC Light is sure to be part of many of your adventures, and NOVA offers warranties adapted to intensive use: 1-year "accidental damage" warranty with NOVA Protect and 4-year materials warranty (with NOVA Trim Tuning). Full details on the NOVA Service page.
Target group of pilots
The AONIC Light (EN-A) is one of the fastest and most manoeuvrable gliders in the EN-A class, without compromising its accessibility, making it ideal for use in schools, for students with a good feel for the glider. In schools, we recommend flying in the middle of the weight range, when more experienced pilots will be able to use the AONIC Light with a higher wing loading.

Your first paraglider is often the one you remember for the rest of your life! We looked at it a lot during our inflation exercises, felt it during our first canopy take-offs, listened to it during our first solo flights... it was a real relationship that was built up... but then... It's the end of the introductory course and you're a pedestrian again. The sky is calling you, and so are your paragliding buddies... It's high time to get your gear and join the flying world! When you're just starting out, you're not sure which paraglider to choose... Don't panic, we're here to help! Our paragliding school is full of new models, which we update regularly. So you can try before you buy, in flight or in inflation, and benefit from the expert advice of our instructors. If you need to, you can also join our school on a training day, for a stress-free trial. Our demo school fleet helps you make your choice, and can also be adapted to your budget if you opt for a second-hand paraglider. By the way, what is a paragliding "School" wing? The beginner's glider, known as a "training glider", is A-rated. Thanks to its forgiving design, it promises easy take-offs, plenty of time in the air to build up your approaches and landings, rock-solid solidity during inflation exercises, and good stability in the air. So they're not the fastest, but they're the safest way to progress in stages. Thanks to constant improvements by our suppliers, they're even more fun and gliding! You won't be getting rid of them any time soon :)
