ABOUT BIRDY

This approved sail EN-A+ is aimed at the daring beginner who wants to be able to progress for a long time with the same wing, as well as the occasional pilot who needs reassurance before switching to the LEAF2 EN-B.

It's the wing of your first great flights. BIRDY is the bird in our heads that encourages us to fly and shows us how to flap our wings.

The BIRDY confidently opens up a whole range of possibilities: modest diving, site flying, mountain flying, walking and flying, thermalling, a bit of cross country, inflation, soaring and seaside flying. This glider gives the daring beginner the keys to explore, identify the facets of flying that appeal to him best and progress.

The occasional pilot of modest level will be able to take advantage of this wing which will not fly in the feathers.

The BIRDY likes to play in air masses, glide in breezes, enter turns and exploit the dynamics of flight.

It doesn't have the nonchalance of a training glider, on the contrary: it communicates with the pilot,
transmits information to the pilot, allowing him to evolve and learn. This glider is designed to last, to follow the pilot's development without ever slowing down the progression curve. It's a benevolent glider that always encourages you to go further, to explore the sensations of flight with the tranquillity of its passive safety.

The Birdy is fun without calculation. Faithful and attentive, instinctive and stable, it embodies the very spirit of Supair: to help pilots take the exhilarating paths of the air with serenity. The Birdy is well born, patiently designed and carefully built. It has all the makings of a great wing: mini-ribs on the trailing edge, shark nose on the leading edge, C-pilot kit.

The semi-light design combines the best of both worlds: the Birdy makes no concessions to durability, yet is compact and light enough for touring. The light fabric on the lower surface is offset by a more resistant material on the upper surface (which is even more exposed to rubbing and the sun). The lines are drawn and the risers are refined to prevent tangling, thanks to a simplified, streamlined design.
