Paragliding ROOK 4 :: TRIPLE SEVEN

Le prix initial était : 4840,00 €.Le prix actuel est : 4259,00 €.

The fourth iteration of the famous Rook model is nothing short of revolutionary. The concept has evolved into a lightweight hybrid construction optimised for endurance, with carefully selected materials positioned throughout the canopy. The pilot of the Rook 4 will benefit from an easy take-off that will not surprise him whatever the conditions, and which will allow him to carry out all long-distance flights without worry, even in the most remote corners of the world. And you'll appreciate all the benefits of the new BC system, which makes active flying as smooth as on the two lines. The Rook 4 is the wing for pilots looking for the perfect balance between performance and the passive safety of the B class.

Winglets and new vault
With the integration of winglets into the design of the Rook 4, new design possibilities have emerged, where a more pronounced canopy greatly enhances the flying experience. The winglets help to stabilise the wing on roll, allowing the adoption of an arch previously reserved for the higher classes and now accessible to the lower classes with the Rook 4. The new arch gives a more constant and higher lateral tension across the span, creating a stiffer, better supported and more compact wing. Asymmetric collapses are less reactive, giving the pilot more time to react if necessary. In addition, changes in bank angle during turns are now more linear and fluid.

Effortless take-off
With the Rook 4, Triple Seven focused on improving take-off behaviour when designing the wing. Thanks to a carefully optimised internal construction, PA11 plastic reinforcements and strategically positioned lines, we've achieved an effortless inflation, making even the most adventurous take-offs feel like a simple step into the atmosphere. The internal construction transfers the force from the attachment point to the upper surface on the first pull, allowing the glider to climb smoothly in all conditions. This ensures a smooth and controlled climb, enhancing the overall flying experience for pilots of all levels.

Lightweight, durable hybrid
The Rook 4 is a lightweight hybrid wing with an optimised mix of materials, reducing weight without sacrificing durability and lifespan. High-stress areas and surfaces subject to ground contact or UV exposure are made from conventional materials (Skytex 38, MJtex 32). At the same time, weight is reduced in areas where the wing remains untouched or protected from light during flight (Skytex 27). The internal construction uses a mixture of Porcher 40 and 32 to reduce the weight of the wing according to stress. This material composition ensures a long life while meeting the desired weight specifications.

New trim control system
Drive towards your goal with the new risers featuring a fluid attitude control system that provides clear feedback to the pilot. You'll correct pitch movements accurately, immediately and to the right extent. This gives you an unrivalled performance advantage, especially when flight efficiency is crucial. And thanks to the reduced friction in the system, the speed system also offers significant advantages, requiring much less force to operate.

Magix PRO hangers
The Rook 4 comes with a host of new features including the latest Magix Pro lines from Edelrid. All lines are carefully colour coded for effortless identification. The latest version of the Magix Pro lines offer a remarkable 60 % increase in moisture resistance and, in particular, extended dimensional stability, which means fewer visits to inspection centres. The total weight of the lines has been considerably reduced, making the canopy easier to climb by reducing the load in the line area.

Indispensable precision
The Rook 4 and the latest Triple Seven models are manufactured with precision and accuracy using laser cutting technology. Triple Seven has abandoned the conventional method of cutting wings by hand, as this often leads to significant errors due to the large number of parts in a paraglider. Despite the extra time and cost involved in laser cutting, they have adopted this process for the entire production process, resulting in a glider manufactured to millimetre precision.

For which pilot?
The Rook 4 is positioned in the top category of the B class. Pilots with extensive experience of active flying will find the Rook 4 easy to handle. Whether you're moving down a category or from a lower to a B class, you'll find that the Rook 4 meets the ideal criteria for safety and performance. Its compact packing volume and excellent take-off characteristics make it perfect for bivouac flying adventures, allowing pilots to explore the most remote cross-country areas with confidence.

The B are the most versatile. A wide range to suit most paragliders! In this category you'll find gliders with more finesse, aimed at both occasional paragliders and experienced cross-country flyers. Even if they are not officially under-classified, they will be called B-, B, or B+, depending on their reactivity.
  • Leasy B paragliders (enB-)They allow you to tackle the first transitions with confidence, and will react more quickly than school sails during pitch, roll and wing manoeuvres.
  • Paragliders in B are available as soon as you have your pilot's licence. The pleasure of gliding is now just a wing's length away :) They help you get a better feel for thermals, and tighten your core so you can fly efficiently from thermal to thermal. Most of them are available in a light version, with thin dyneema risers and lightweight fabric. This considerably reduces storage volume, so they can be slipped into the smallest of rucksacks to suit hike-and-fly paragliding, cross-country flying, or your luggage to accompany your travels!
  • enB+ paragliders are even faster and livelier. Typically cross-country, they are designed for pilots who are already attacking thermals and who have accumulated a good number of flights. The piloting becomes precise and dynamic, the maximum speed high, and you experience a real pleasure of gliding. Their finesse means you can hang up at the best of your transitions... Still enB approved, it is however recommended that you have already completed a pilot training course (SIV) and have compiled 50 hours of flying time per year to be able to use this type of glider. Fans of bivouac flying will also find what they're looking for in this range, as lightweight versions are also available!
As you can see, there's bound to be an enB paraglider to suit you ...
