Brand

Neo

Neo is a young brand in paragliding, which has been able to climb the ladder quickly thanks to the experience of Eric Roussel and the care taken in the manufacture of its products. Each harness is thought out and tested for several years before arriving on the market. A 100% French brand, since the workshop is in Haute-Savoie!

Most paragliders are sold with a sub-bag (the compression bag), but without a rucksack. There are two reasons for this: - Economic: you are buying a paraglider, and only a paraglider. It will therefore be cheaper. - Practical: you choose your own paragliding bag, the one that really suits your needs and size. (And let's face it, the rucksacks initially included in the packs weren't great for carrying... and pilots often ended up changing them after a year). Paragliding bags fall into 3 categories: Carrying bags Generally designed to be quite comfortable, these bags backpack paragliding are designed for use on both short and long approach hikes. Inspired by mountain rucksacks, they have all the classic adjustments (load reminder, chest strap, back and hip reinforcement, etc.), but also have a large zipped opening to easily accommodate your equipment. Soft side pockets, nets, helmet holders and clip-on straps will be very useful for keeping your most useful accessories to hand. Most of them come in a range of sizes, from 50L for hike-and-fly paragliding to over 200L for tandem paragliding. The light (and even ultra-light) versions set new records for lightness, with bags weighing in at just... 350g! Quick bags Commonly known as "beanbags" or "ball bags", quick bags are very practical because they allow you to quickly store your paragliding wing without really folding it. The concept is simple: it's a large area of fabric on which you place your wing, and which is tightened by a sliding tie. The idea is to waste no time and get back to decorating quickly... They come in all shapes and sizes, so depending on your needs, you can put just your sailthe entirety of your paragliding equipment. Without rigid reinforcements, they will be less comfortable to carry than the bags classics; these bags are generally only suitable for short or medium walks. Depending on your choice, you can carry these bags over the shoulder or on your back thanks to the two shoulder straps. Compression bags Once it's all folded up, your paraglider needs to be held in place. You'll need a compression bag. The simplest is sold with the sail: a light fabric pouch. Some have the advantage of being able to be compressed further thanks to two side zips. Faced with the increasingly systematic use of leading edge rushes, folding and above all storing a sail properly can become complex. Hence the arrival on the market of the very clever "sock bags. Acclaimed for their practicality, these concertina bags (or 'sausage bags') offer a triple advantage: folding is quick and easy, the sail is held perfectly box-to-box, and it takes up considerably less space! They now make it possible to fit standard sails into certain reversible light harnesses, which were originally designed to hold only mountain sails. Clever! :) Our shop offers a wide range of bags to suit your needs. Don't hesitate to come and try them out! If you can't bring your own equipment, it's important to know the approximate capacity you'll need before making your purchase.

The main function of the carrier bag is to carry all your paragliding equipment on your back when you are not flying. Of course, it should contain not only the paraglider, but also the harness, helmet, possibly gloves, radio and flight instruments. There are a few criteria to consider when buying a rucksack. The first criterion is the total volume of the rucksack. This is commonly referred to as the bag volume and is measured in litres (L). In fact, you have to bring a more or less folded paraglider, and any other equipment. Therefore, we recommend that you choose a bag capacity that corresponds to your wing size. The 50L bag easily accommodates a single or light glider, while the 90L bag is suitable for gliders with a large surface area. At Grands Espaces we encourage you to bring your equipment and test the bag capacity against your packing and equipment when choosing between our different carry bags. Another important criterion is the carrying comfort of the carry bag. During approach walks, you have to carry your bag on your back, which can take tens of minutes. The equipment can weigh up to 10 kilograms or more and, if not properly cared for, it can injure your shoulders and back. This is why the paraglider carry bag is equipped with adjustable and reinforced shoulder straps. Finally, paragliding requires many small accessories such as flight instruments, radios, belt cutters, water bottles, etc. To avoid stuffing all your equipment into the main bag and wasting precious time, the pack includes easy-to-reach and practical storage pockets to optimise storage and even spread the load. A few years ago, when you bought a new paraglider, it came with a paraglider bag. Nowadays, only a few brands offer an included carry bag. The wing comes with a compression bag instead. That's why Our Paragliding Shop strives to offer all these paragliding bags at the best prices. Find out more about our carrier bags:
