GEOMETRY AND THE BUCKET
Five years of experience with the StayUp and Suspender geometry have proven that it offers the pilot a very well balanced stability/precision ratio, and provides a cocoon that is accessible to everyone while being very stable in accelerated flight.
On this second generation StayUp we have kept the outline of this geometry and redesigned the 3D shape of the seat to bring comfort and precision to a higher level. All of the fabric pieces surrounding the body have been redesigned to provide more continuity of support from the thigh to the top of the back. This bucket allows the pilot to fly with precision and communicate effectively with the glider.

THE COMFORT
The new moulding of the bucket fabrics provides greater comfort and better back support with fewer adjustments. In fact, the number of adjustments has been significantly reduced, with only one adjustment for the backrest inclination. The rest of the seat adapts to the vast majority of morphologies. The addition of the Koroyd PROPACK back protection provides additional comfort by stiffening the backrest.

The comfort of the StayUp 2.0 also stems from its ergonomics. The installation in the cocoon is very intuitive during take-off. The stability in the sitting position makes the cocoon very accessible and will satisfy pilots not used to cocoon harnesses.

The use of a larger carbon footboard provides a more comfortable riding position as the feet can be changed easily, especially when using the speed bar. The footboard has also increased the overall volume of the cocoon to simplify the use of the speed bar.

LIGHTNESS AND DURABILITY
No compromise has been made on durability to get the harness under 2kg. The harness is made of 80% Dyneema ripstop fabric, developed 5 years ago, which has proven to be very durable. There is no other fabric on the market for Hike & Fly that is as durable as this.
The whole structure is made with HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) webbing to save a maximum of weight.
Because riding comfort is paramount, we wanted to keep a flexible and precise adjustment thanks to the slackening of the chest strap adjustment, despite the overweight of the buckles.
Wearing parts such as the cocoon locks and carbon plate can be easily replaced without the need for a workshop.
The StayUp has been designed to last as long as possible.

PASSIVE SAFETY
The StayUp 2.0 is equipped with two protections:
- The 8 cm NEO-Koroyd 2.3 under-seat protection is EN, LTF and CE certified. It offers effective protection in all phases of flight at a very low weight and volume. The protection is narrower than the NEO-Koroyd 2.0 to greatly reduce the folded volume of the harness.
- The Koroyd PROPACK back protector is CE certified (EN1621) and weighs only 145 g. It protects the spine from being punctured (e.g. by rocks or sticks in the bag). The harness can be used without the protections. The NEO-Koroyd 2.3 can be used without the protector by unzipping the pocket under the seat. For the ProPack, simply remove it from the back pocket.

The Stay Up 2.0 is the result of long observation of the Stay Up 1.0 in its practical environment and advanced research work on the Promodel. We've kept the DNA: the combination of lightness and durability. As for the rest, we followed our conviction that everything can be improved! A lot of work has been done on the chassis to provide greater comfort, continuity of support and steering precision. It's been a fascinating process, working in collaboration with our pilots to find the right balance and come up with a harness that's easy to forget in flight.

Brand

Neo

Neo is a young brand in paragliding, which has been able to climb the ladder quickly thanks to the experience of Eric Roussel and the care taken in the manufacture of its products. Each harness is thought out and tested for several years before arriving on the market. A 100% French brand, since the workshop is in Haute-Savoie!
Neo
There's one question in every paraglider's life: switching to a cocoon harness. The cocoon harness is the ultimate in comfort The coverleg is designed to provide total support, encompassing the entire body and reducing pressure points, as well as support for the legs, which gives the pilot rest and allows you to fly faster for longer, and effective protection against the cold, thanks to the coverleg.

Cocoon or not cocoon?

You're ready to take the plunge if : You are comfortable with the semi-recumbent position, which will require you to position your whole body differently when leaning on the harness. Yaw movements will have to be approached differently. Your pelvis is a little higher, and with it your centre of gravity, so instability will be a little more pronounced than in a sports harness. However, the leg straps help to reduce this effect. You're ready to bend your legs as soon as an unfamiliar sensation arrives. Cocoon harnesses are no longer just for paragliding competitors. Their comfort has seduced adventurers and they are becoming lighter to accompany your bivouac flights... We have a whole range of cocoon harnesses for you to try out. Here you'll find your first cocoon, stable and without too many adjustments, or light and with leg straps for mountain take-offs, with a large storage volume for the bivouac or a beautiful foiler for optimised aerodynamics... Come and try it out!
