ABOUT STEP X
The DNA of sailing lies in the name "STEP X". The letter X, pronounced "cross", illustrates the intersection of the two disciplines of Cross Country and Hike & Fly. This is exactly where this new-generation EN-B+ is positioned: at the crossroads of lightness and durability without compromising on performance. The STEP X is therefore aimed at recreational pilots who want to equip themselves with a sport EN-B to go further in cross country, while continuing to enjoy the pleasures of Hike & Fly.
The development team used a wide range of materials to create a wing that is as light as it is strong. To achieve this, particularly exposed areas are fitted with robust, durable materials, while less exposed areas benefit from lightweight materials for significant weight savings with no impact on the life of the wing. STEP X allows you to unleash your full potential both on the ground and in the air.
The performance of the STEP X is due to a number of design elements that have been extensively reworked and optimised compared to its predecessors, starting with the addition of a tension band located between the B and C lines. This band improves the surface finish and extends the speed range of the wing, giving you precise, agile and reassuring handling.
Secondly, the new layout of the diagonals optimises the distribution of forces across the profile, ensuring that the wing holds better over time, and therefore lasts longer.
Finally, the new line branching reduces the overall line length. This improves the performance of the STEP X by reducing drag.
The STEP X's behaviour is reassuring. Its smooth, intuitive handling allows you to maximise the rate of climb in thermals and go further without tiring yourself out with unnecessarily complex handling. In fact, it's by focusing on pleasure and safety that the STEP X stands out from some EN-B+s, which can sometimes be very demanding to fly. The STEP X doesn't try to compete with an EN-C, but gives you the means to continue your progression towards performance with complete confidence.
STEP X follows on from an entry-level EN-B such as the LEAF3 or LEAF3 Light, and gives you everything you need to prepare for a switch to EN-C.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE, LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE - THAT'S THE PROMISE OF THIS CROSSROADS WING.
HE PERFORMANCE AT THE END OF THE LINES
With its EN-B+ certification, the STEP X is a 'Sport' wing. Its design and its entire development process are designed for cross-country flying.
PERFORMANCE IS AT THE HEART OF THE STEP X FLIGHT PROGRAMME.
As a result, it is ideal for pilots who already have some experience, particularly in cross-country flying, to take them further in the discipline.
Making performance accessible is the aim of the STEP X. Thanks to its great handling and reassuring passive safety, this glider will give you the confidence to progress in distance flying and acquire solid cross-country skills. It's the perfect glider for a transition to EN-C.
STEP X can be summed up in 3 words: high-performance, agile and safe.

- Leasy B paragliders (enB-)They allow you to tackle the first transitions with confidence, and will react more quickly than school sails during pitch, roll and wing manoeuvres.
- Paragliders in B are available as soon as you have your pilot's licence. The pleasure of gliding is now just a wing's length away :) They help you get a better feel for thermals, and tighten your core so you can fly efficiently from thermal to thermal. Most of them are available in a light version, with thin dyneema risers and lightweight fabric. This considerably reduces storage volume, so they can be slipped into the smallest of rucksacks to suit hike-and-fly paragliding, cross-country flying, or your luggage to accompany your travels!
- enB+ paragliders are even faster and livelier. Typically cross-country, they are designed for pilots who are already attacking thermals and who have accumulated a good number of flights. The piloting becomes precise and dynamic, the maximum speed high, and you experience a real pleasure of gliding. Their finesse means you can hang up at the best of your transitions... Still enB approved, it is however recommended that you have already completed a pilot training course (SIV) and have compiled 50 hours of flying time per year to be able to use this type of glider. Fans of bivouac flying will also find what they're looking for in this range, as lightweight versions are also available!
