Swift 6 paraglider :: OZONE

4435,00 4578,00

The Swift 6 is the lightweight version of the Rush 6. Using lighter materials and ultra optimised construction techniques the weight of the wing has been reduced by 900g. By reducing the inertia, the result is a more agile and easier to inflate wing. Like the Alpina 4 from which it is derived, the Swift 6 has all the performance enhancing technologies found in the Enzo and Zeno, giving it the best glide and cross country performance in its class.

In the air the Swift 6 is a real gem: precise and dynamic handling, high top speed, it is very efficient in cross country. The brakes give precise handling at the start of the race and great authority beyond. The structure keeps the canopy perfectly together on the span and chord, giving the canopy an incredible agility that increases the performance in ascents.

The strength of the wing in accelerated flight has been increased by adopting a new profile and by optimising the internal structure, not forgetting the ACR risers. The Swift 6's structure is the strongest we have developed and maintains the integrity of the profile even in turbulent air, avoiding the loss of performance associated with deformation along the chord. The Active Control Risers (ACR) inherited from the Delta 4 allow the pilot to control the angle of attack without changing the camber of the profile. By acting on both the B's and C's, the ACR gives the pilot control similar to the 2-line on a 3-line wing.

The aspect ratio remains deliberately moderate to maintain the ease of use, flying pleasure and passive safety of the previous models. The performance gains have been achieved by a hybrid 3/2 line, new 3D leading edge cutting patterns and optimised trailing edge mini-ribs, resulting in a significant reduction in parasitic drag and ultimately more glide and speed.
The Pilot

The Swift 6 is very accessible and a wide range of pilots will enjoy flying this wing. It is EN B certified and ideal for recreational pilots of intermediate level with experience and cross-country pilots who fly at least 50 hours per year and who have already completed a FSS.

The B are the most versatile. A wide range to suit most paragliders! In this category you'll find gliders with more finesse, aimed at both occasional paragliders and experienced cross-country flyers. Even if they are not officially under-classified, they will be called B-, B, or B+, depending on their reactivity.
  • Leasy B paragliders (enB-)They allow you to tackle the first transitions with confidence, and will react more quickly than school sails during pitch, roll and wing manoeuvres.
  • Paragliders in B are available as soon as you have your pilot's licence. The pleasure of gliding is now just a wing's length away :) They help you get a better feel for thermals, and tighten your core so you can fly efficiently from thermal to thermal. Most of them are available in a light version, with thin dyneema risers and lightweight fabric. This considerably reduces storage volume, so they can be slipped into the smallest of rucksacks to suit hike-and-fly paragliding, cross-country flying, or your luggage to accompany your travels!
  • enB+ paragliders are even faster and livelier. Typically cross-country, they are designed for pilots who are already attacking thermals and who have accumulated a good number of flights. The piloting becomes precise and dynamic, the maximum speed high, and you experience a real pleasure of gliding. Their finesse means you can hang up at the best of your transitions... Still enB approved, it is however recommended that you have already completed a pilot training course (SIV) and have compiled 50 hours of flying time per year to be able to use this type of glider. Fans of bivouac flying will also find what they're looking for in this range, as lightweight versions are also available!
As you can see, there's bound to be an enB paraglider to suit you ...
