Since the 2023 and early 2024 seasons, a host of new paragliders have come onto the market. We have already mentioned the great novelty of the En-C 2 Lines we're going to take a quick tour of the what's new in paragliding in 2024 and our first impressions.

Les Nouveautés parapentes En-B de 2024

Leaf 3 & Leaf 3 Light (SUPAIR) :

If you want to progress without compromising on safety, the Supair Leaf is for you. With its EN B certification, the profile of this glider is designed to integrate the air mass and transmit information to you without scaring you - a benchmark in passive safety. Available in light, more communicative.

Step X (SUPAIR) :

That's all there is to it, the Step X will allow you to take an important step forward in your progress, while maintaining a high level of safety. Very permissive in turbulent air, it's an undemanding glider for a 5.6 aspect ratio. EN B high approved, it remains surprisingly stable, while precisely communicating the movements of the air mass. Comfortable tail handling.

Theta DLS (ADVANCE) :

Designed for performance, recommended by the best. Little sister of the XI, the Theta is the new EN B middle from Advance for 2024. Weighing in at 3.3kg in the 23, it's one of the lightest gliders on the market without skimping on performance. It's a glider of unrivalled progression, with an excellent glide ratio and a very stable and reassuring behaviour in active air.

Rook 4 (TRIPLE SEVEN) :

Test to come...

Arak 2 (SKYWALK) :

A must-have for Skywalkers, the reputation of the arak is well established. Exceptional performance for EN B middle certification. The Arak's response is straightforward and direct, communicating the air mass with precision and retaining the dynamic turn of the Skywalk. Requires rather active piloting, but is more permissive than its predecessor.

Beat 2 + Beat 2 light :

Phi is back with its flagship EN B middle. Reactive and dynamic, also developed in light, the beat is an excellent glider for progression. Quite communicative, recommended for pilots with a high volume of flights, rather demanding for its category, requiring active piloting. It has an excellent glide and is ideal for progressing to CROSS.

Les nouveautés parapentes En-C de 2024

Merlin (Sky Paraglider):

New EN C from Sky Paraglider. High-performance 2-line feel, with a good glide. The real plus is the accelerated speed, with a straightforward feel from the first bar, little degradation and constant speed. Highly efficient rear control, right up to the possibility of furling. The Dyneema system, also attached to the fronts, changes the profile to optimise the dynamic turn, retaining its effectiveness without being too hard on the edge.

Mystic (FLOW) :

New EN C in 2 lines, light.

Les nouveautés ailes montagnes de 2024

Pace :

Surprising single surface, remarkable windless take-off, adapts to breezes with its rather high flight speed. Effective rounding for its structure. With the Trim system, landings are closer to those of classic paragliders.

Ultralight 5 (OZONE) :
